Erin Sheldon, MEd

Erin Sheldon is the mom of Maggie, a young adult with del+ Angelman. Erin earned her graduate degree studying the educational needs of students with Angelman syndrome. She is passionate about technologies that help people communicate, as well as ensuring all students with Angelman have maximum opportunities to learn, grow, and be included in their communities. Erin is Director of Learning Design at AssistiveWare, where her work focuses on AAC vocabulary, teacher professional learning, and literacy instruction. She has authored multiple book chapters, articles, and internet modules on AAC implementation, including the document “Angelman for Educators”. She has presented at a wide variety of family and professional conferences in over a dozen countries.
